The External Affairs Minister, Mr. S.M. Krishna has said that India has conveyed to Pakistan that any further terror attack on India emanating from Pakistani soil will cause immense harm to the normalisation process. Replying to questions in the Rajya Sabha on his recent visit to Pakistan, Mr. Krishna said India also called for credible and firm action against terrorist groups and their leaders like Hafeez Sayeed, who continue to incite violence against India. Mr. Krishna said New Delhi has told Pakistan that such things will not help in reducing trust deficit between the two countries. He said the fulfilment of commitment by Pakistan of not allowing territory under its control to be used for any terrorist activities against India in letter and spirit will be the biggest confidence building measure. While stating that India is willing to discuss every issue with Pakistan, Mr. Krishna said India's approach is to move step by step to expand dialogue to cover all issues of mutual interest and concern.
