New Delhi to upgrade infrastructure along border: Def Min

New Delhi has defended India's right to to build infrastructure along its border. Defence Minister A.K.Antony said in Panaji that if China has a right to develop infrastructure, India also has the right to do so.

He said each country has a right to build border infrastructure on their own land. Over the years, the building of infrastructure has been going on and Army and Air Force will continue to shore up their capabilities on our own land. His comments come days after the standoff with China over intrusion in Ladakh has ended. Antony said the stand off is over and both sides have agreed to maintain status quo ante.

Earlier, the Defence Minister commissioned the Air Dominance Fighter MIG-29K into the front line unit of the Indian Navy squadron at an impressive function held at Goa’s Naval Base INS Hansa.
