New Delhi rejects report on trilateral security pact with US & Australia

New Delhi says, it is unaware of any proposal on trilateral Security pact with the United States and Australia. In response to a question, a spokesman of the External Affairs Ministry said in New Delhi that they have seen the media reports about the comments attributed to Australian Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd on a possible three way pact.

Media quoted Australian Foreign Minister as saying that it supports the formation of security pact with India and the United States. The report said that the statement attributed to the Minister also added that such a formation is possible if Canberra ends a ban of Uranium sales to India.
