<br/>The Indian Medical Mission in Kabul has been suspended temporarily. But all other missions in Herat, Kandahar, Jalalabad and Mazar-e-Sharif are functioning normally. Responding to queries by reporters, External Affairs Ministry spokesman Vishnu Prakash said the Indian embassy in Kabul and its other offices in Afghanistan continued to function normally in the face of 'extremely demanding and difficult circumstances.' The medical missions in Kabul are suspended in the wake of the February 26 terrorist attack in which seven Indians, including a doctor, were killed and several others injured. The decision to suspend the mission in Kabul was taken after the two-day visit of National Security Advisor Shivshankar Menon to the Afghan capital. During his stay, he met Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai and senior officials of his government and reviewed the security arrangements for the 4,000 Indians working on various projects in Afghanistan.
