New Delhi: Home Minister Rajnath Singh participates in Swacchata Hi Sewa Campaign at ITBP Campus

Home Minister Rajnath singh today participated in the Swacchata Hi Sewa Campaign at ITBP Campus in New Delhi. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Singh said, during this campaign Ministry of Home Affairs and Central Armed Police Forces will clean the areas in and around their offices and other premises. Mr Singh said, more than 2 lakh 36 thousand villages and 1286 cities are Open Defecation Free.<br/><br/> He said, Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Haryana and Uttarakhand have become open defecation free (ODF) and 10 states will be ODF by March next year. Home Minister said, due to lack of cleanness India is loosing 6 per cent of its GDP. He said, as per an estimation physical growth of 40 per cent of children is affected due to absence of cleanness. On the occasion, Home Minister also administered Swachchhta pledge to the force personnel.
