New Delhi, Dhaka to sign agreements on anti-terror and security related issues

Signaling the beginning of a new chapter in their historic ties, India and Bangladesh will sign five agreements today including three anti terror and security related agreements. The agreements will be signed after the talks between the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and his Bangladesh counterpart Sheikh Hasina who arrived in New Delhi last night on a three day state visit to India.<br/><br/>A 500 million dollar line of credit for infrastructure development in Bangladesh is also expected to be announced. <br/><br/>Hour before Sheikh Hasina's arrival, Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao said that the Bangladesh Prime Minister’s trip offers a historic opportunity to build a new and forward-looking relationship. <br/><br/>AIR correspondent says that the visit of Bangladesh Prime Minister comes in the backdrop of increased level of trust and the commitment of two counties to put their relations on a stable footing.
