New Delhi asks Islamabad to take credible action against anti-India jihadi leaders including Hafiz Saeed

Reiterating that terror free atmosphere is a must for carrying forward the Indo-Pak dialogue, New Delhi has asked Islamabad to take credible action against anti-India jihadi leaders including Hafiz Saeed. Making a suo-moto statement on the outcome of the talks between the Foreign Ministers of the two countries, the External Affairs Minister Mr. S.M. Krishna said, New Delhi is keen to have constructive relationship with Pakistan and the two countries have decided to continue the dialogue process on all issues. Giving details about the discussion with his counterpart Hina Rabbani Khar, Mr. Krishna said that he underscored the importance India attaches to the fulfilment of commitments made by Pakistan with regard to trial and investigation in that country in 2008 Mumbai terror attack. He said, that Pakistani Foreign Minister assured that her country is not trying to abdicate responsibility from the Mumbai trial underway in that country and requested to have trust, patience and confidence in the process. The Minister said, that he affirmed India's desire to work with Pakistan to reduce the trust deficit and move forward in a friendly manner. Mr. Krishna said that Pakistani side was also conveyed India's displeasure over Khar's meeting with Hurriyat leaders from Kashmir on the eve of talks.
