New Delhi has asked Islamabad to curb anti-India terror activities originating from its soil to support and sustain the progress in bilateral relations. Making a statement in the Lok Sabha on the recent visit of Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari, External Affairs Minister S.M Krishna said, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh also told Pakistan President Zardari that it was imperative to bring the perpetrators of the Mumbai attack to justice. The Prime Minister also mentioned the activities of Hafiz Saeed being carried out in public.
Mr. Krishna said, Pakistan President Zardari referred to the judicial process against Saeed and said, the matter needed to be discussed further between the two governments. It was also noted that the issue would be further discussed in the forthcoming meeting of the Home Secretaries.
Mr. Krishna said, both the leaders agreed to take forward the dialogue process and improvement of Indo-Pak bilateral relations in the interest of the people of both countries. He said, it was also agreed to ink the already worked out liberalized VISA Agreement during the Home Secretaries meet.
