New Delhi has asked Beijing to respect India's sensitiveness on issueslike Jammu and Kashmir and Arunachal Pradesh. Reiterating this asessential to strengthen bilateral relations External Affairs MinisterS M Krishna made it clear that bilateral defence exchanges with Chinawill remain suspended. He urged Beijing to maintain neutrality on theaffairs related to Jammu and Kashmir.Krishna said the issue of Chinese assertiveness in the region recentlywill figure in the discussion between the Prime Minister Dr. ManmohanSingh and U S President Barak Obama in New Delhi early Next month. Hesaid Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and a number ofelections have been held in the state in the last 60 years in ademocratic and transparent manner.Speaking in the same vein, Army Chief General V. K. Singh describedPakistan and China as two major irritants for India's security. Hesaid, there is a problem of governance in Pakistan, where terroroutfits receive support and it can have an impact on India. Ourcorrespondent reports that the next round of India-China border talkswill be held soon to address this vexed issue.
