In Karnataka, new Congress government will assume office today. The Governor of Karnataka, H R Bharadwaj will administer the oath of office and secrecy to Chief Minister designate Siddaramaiah at Sri Kanteerava Outdoor stadium in Bangalore today.

Siddaramaiah was declared as legislative party leader in the party meeting held last Friday.

Elaborate arrangements are on for the swearing in ceremony in the sprawling athletics stadium. More than 50,000 people are expected to attend the event.
