New CM of Arunachal Pradesh to expand cabinet

Newly sworn in Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Nabam Tuki has said, the first expansion of his government will take place within one week. Addressing the media after taking over as the New Chief Minister, Mr. Tuki however said, finalizing the names of his Cabinet may take some time. He also said that he will be proceeding to Delhi to meet AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi and other Central Congress leaders in a day or two. He called upon all the communities of the state to shed petty politics and work together to bring back peace and normalcy in the state.

The new Chief Minister gave a strong warning against those playing the communal card, saying his government will ensure safety of members of every community. He said, the minority communities will feel secure only when the major communities unite and work together. Mr. Tuki further asserted that he will lead a clean and effective government which will try to make all officers and bureaucrats accountable to the people. The newly sworn in Chief Minister said, prohibition under CrPC Section 144 will continue to be in place in the state capital region for a few more days till the law and order situation improves.
