New Chief Ministers to take oath today in Madhya Pradesh and Mizoram

BJP’s Shivraj Singh Chouhan will be sworn-in as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh today, for a record third consecutive time. Governor Ram Naresh Yadav will administer the oath of office and secrecy. The swearing-in ceremony will be held at the Jambooree Maidan in Bhopal. AIR correspondent reports that Mr. Chouhan was formally elected as the leader of BJP legislature party on Friday evening.

The Congress government led by Chief Minister Pu Lalthanhawla will assume office for the second successive term today. Mizoram Governor Vakkom B. Purushothaman will administer the oath of office and secrecy to Lalthanhawla and his Cabinet colleagues at Raj Bhavan in Aizawl at 11 am. AIR correspondent reports that the Congress Legislature Party formally elected Lalthanhawla as its leader on Wednesday.
