Union Chemicals and Fertilizers Minister D V Sadananda Gowda today announced that a new Centre of the Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology (CIPET) will soon be set up at Medak in Telangana state. He inaugurated the newly constructed Boys Hostel at the CIPET in Hyderabad this morning.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said land has already been acquired for the new Centre of the CIPET to offer Under-graduate, Graduate, Post Graduate and PhD courses on 50:50 cost sharing basis.&nbsp;<br />''<br />''<br />''Referring the decision to ban single use plastic, Mr Gowda said the single use plastic is posing severe threat to environment as it is being littered everywhere. He further said the expert committee appointed to study the Future of Plastics will submit its report by 2nd next month.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''The newly constructed boys hostel can accommodate 450 students in the CIPET which conducts diploma and PG Diploma courses in Polymer Science and Technology and conduct many skill development training programs sponsored by various state and central government agencies.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The premier institute offers technology support services in the areas of Design, Tooling and Mould Manufacturing, Plastic processing to key sectors include Automobiles, Aerospace, Agriculture, Construction, Defence, IT and Packaging.</span><br />
