<br/>In Punjab, all accredited and recognised journalists have been exempted from paying tax at all toll tax barriers in the state from now onwards. Mr. Sewa Singh Sekhwan, Punjab Information and Public Relation Minister told this while talking to media during his visit to the newly constructed building of the Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar. Mr. Sekhwan also said that the accreditation committee lying defunct since long would be reconstituted. The new accreditation policy will be amended to give right to journalists to go to court for appeal in case their accreditation is cancelled by the government. Mr. Sekhwan, holding the dual charge of NRI Affairs, said that a fast track court would soon be set up for the redressal of the NRI related issues.
