The Greater Noida and Noida land acquisition cases will be taken up by a new bench of Allahabad High Court. The matter was scheduled for hearing before the larger bench of Allahabad High court today but one of the Judges of the larger bench, Justice R.K. Agarwal refused to hear this matter due to some reasons. The larger bench comprising three Judges, released the matter and now the case will be taken up by another bench. The Court has not fixed any date of the next hearing. The Chief Justice will now decide on the new bench. Hundreds of farmers have filed petitions against land acquisition methods adopted by Noida and Greater Noida authorities and on the compensation issues. Earlier on 26th July, the Allahabad High Court bench had referred the case to this larger bench for further hearing. However, the Court had also given opportunity to farmers and Noida and Greater Noida authorities to negotiate on compensation and other issues by the 12th of August. According to Greater Noida authority, more than 600 farmers have already signed agreements on the new rate of compensation with other benefits.
