In Srilanka post ATMs are not linked to any banks unlike the traditional ATMs.Launched by a Sri Lankan company in a joint venture with a Japanese firm, the system lets the users deposit Sri Lankan currency notes of Rs 10 to 5000 denominations into this machine to settle their bills.To start with, mobile telephone bill payments can be made through the system, but soon the services are slated to expand to make payments of electricity and water bills, insurance premiums and even traffic penalties, the company announced.
