In Punjab, Social Networking Sites are under police scanner as some terrorist organisations, whose chiefs are living abroad, are luring youth to join them. Disclosing this to media in Jalandhar, Director General of Punjab Police, Sumedh Singh Saini said that effective steps would be taken to tackle the propaganda spread on social networking sites.He informed that to control crime in rural areas, Rural Police Response Teams (RPRTs) are being constituted at Distirct level within a month. He said with the introduction of RPRT, Punjab would become the first state in the country to start this system.
