In the Chennai Open tennis tournament Thiemo De Bakker of Netherland beat fellow countryman Robin Hassse 6-3, 6-4 to move into the third round. In another second round match Santiago Giraldo of Columbia outwitted Jan Hajek in straight sets 6-4 6-2.
