Netherlands & Australia enter SFs of women's World Cup Hockey

Olympic champions Netherlands and Australia have booked their berth in the semifinals of the women's World Cup Hockey at the The Hague, Netherlands'. The Netherlands topped Group A with an all-win record from previous five games, logging 15 points after posting a 3-0 victory over South Korea at the Kyocera Stadium yesterday. Netherlands have finished top of the group with Australia following second. The Netherlands' victory also assured Australia's entry into the semifinals. Since the Australian eves were held goalless by New Zealand in their match. In the other Group-A match, Japan were held to a 2-2 draw by Belgium. Japan have finished at the second last, with fifth position in Group-A. In today's fixtures, in the women's squad, Group-B teams will be battling it out against each other. The matches includes between the table toppers United States and South Africa, Germany and England, Argentina and China.In the Men's Hockey World Cup, India suffered a humiliating 0-4 loss against defending champions Australia in their final group league encounter. With this India has finished the group stage with a win, a draw and three losses after losing to the defending champions Australia in their last group game of the 2014 Hockey World Cup.
