West Bengal is observing the 114th birth day of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose today. The state Government has announced the day as ‘Desh Prem Divas’. Programmes have been organised through out the state to mark the day. The main programme will be held at the base of Netaji’s statue near Raj Bhavan in Kolkata where West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadev Bhattacharjee and his cabinet colleagues will be present. Our Kolkata correspondent Arijit Chakraborty reports that people from all works of life are visiting the ancestral house of Netaji in South Kolkata since early morning to pay their respectful homage to the great hero of the freedom movement.
