Lanka IOC, the local unit of Indian Oil Corporation Limited, saw its net profits for the three months ending June 2013 soar by 600 per cent to 1.35 billion Sri Lankan Rupees.The gains have been largely due to cost controls, with revenue remaining almost flat at 18.47 billion rupees.According to the company, both direct costs and overheads declined during the quarter, demonstrating the concerted effort by the company to keep costs under control.
