Political analysts say it will be difficult for the parliament to resolve the ongoing political impasse as long as there is a trust deficit among the parties and they do not come to a consensus. The opposition Maoists have called for a fresh process to elect the Prime Minister by amending the constitution. Nepali Congress, the second largest party is however opposed to the Maoist demand and said its candidate Ram Chandra Poudel is not withdrawing from the electoral race and the ongoing process must be continued until the Maoists give a tangible commitment on intergradations and rehabilitation of their army.
