Nepal’s PM inaugurates 10th SAARC Trade Fair in Kathmandu

Nepali Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal on Wednesday inaugurated the 10th SAARC Trade Fair at the City Hall in Kathmandu. The trade fair is aimed at providing platform to the SAARC countries to explore trade opportunities, showcase their indigenous products and service, strengthen business relations among them and develop people to people relations. Speaking on the occassion, Mr. Nepal appealed the SAARC nations to fully implement the provisions of the South Asia Free Trade Agreement (SAFTA) to achieve meaningful economic integration and enhance intra-regional trade. Some 296 stalls, including 41 from India and 142 from Nepal, have been set up at the trade fair.
