Nepal’s Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal has expanded his Cabinet, inducting five ministers and seven state ministers from his party, the CPN-UML. This is the third expansion since Khanal was elected Prime Minister on 3rd February. The newly-appointed ministers are yet to take the oath of office and secrecy. The new ministers include Urmila Aryal, Raghubir Mahaseth, Gorkarna Bista, Bhanubhakta Jaisi, and Yuvraj Karki. The Ministers of state include, Radha Gyawali, Satrughan Mahatot, Dalbahadur Sunar, Ramji Sharma, Dambar Sambahamp, Bhagwati Chaudary and Laryarkyal Lama. However, the prime minister failed to induct members from the UCPN (Maoist) and Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Nepal) owing to differences over ministerial berths. The Cabinet is not complete yet as the main coalition the UCPN-M, is yet to nominate leaders from the party. The Home portfolio still remains bone of contention for both UML and UCPN-M.
