First woman Chief Justice of Nepal Supreme Court Sushila Karki has retired after attaining the age 65 years. She was appointed Chief Justice on July 11 last year. <br/><br/>She was 25th Chief Justice of Nepal Supreme Court. Justice Karki handled many important cases including impeachment of Chief of Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) and appointment of Inspector General of Police. <br/><br/>After Justice Karki's retirement Justice Gopal Parajuli, who is the senior most judge, has assumed the charge of acting Chief Justice on Wednesday.
