Nepal's Deputy PM left for New Delhi

Nepal's Deputy Prime Minister Sujata Koirala left for New Delhi to attend a seminar organized by Vivekanand International Foundation on Nepal's current political situation including peace and constitution drafting process. Talking to newsmen at Tribhuvan International Airport this afternoon, Deputy Prime Minister Koirala who is also Nepal's Foreign Minister expressed hope that the seminar would make a significant contribution towards ending the peace process and drafting of the new constitution. Participants including leaders of Nepal's major political parties including the Unified CPN(Maoist) Vice Chairman Dr Baburam Bhattarai, CPN-UML leader K.P. Oli, Nepali Congress leader Pradeep Giri, will discuss political, economic and bilateral issues between the two countries during the course of the seminar. Analysts say that deliberations during the seminar would provide an opportunity to political party leaders as well as civil society representatives of both the countries to understand the gravity of Nepal’s problems and their possible solutions, as both the countries share historical ties in various areas.
