Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has been elected new prime minister of Nepal. Out of 593 parliamentarians, 388 voted in his favour. He will be 40th prime minister of Nepal. <br/><br/>70 year old Deuba will take charge of prime ministership fourth time. The veteran Nepali Congress leader first became prime minister in 1995 and later in 2001 and 2004. He was first elected member of parliament in 1991 from Dadeldhura district. Deuba started his political career as student leader. <br/>'<br/>Election for new prime minister was held due to resignation by the CPN (Maoist Centre) Chief Pushpa Kamal Dahal from the post of prime minister. Dahal had resigned on May 24 as per the power sharing understanding with the coalition partner Nepali Congress.
