In Nepal, the Nepali Congress has formally nominated the name of the Party Parliamentary leader Ram Chandra Poudel as the party’s candidate for the post of the Prime Minister. Sher Bahadur Deuba withdrew his candidature following the failure to form the consensus government. The party has started talks with other parties to garner support to form a majority government. Party President Sushil Koirala and his team met with the CPN-UML leader Mahhav Kumar Nepal. The meeting of Standing Committee of the UCPN ( Maoist ) is on to finalise its stand on rehabilitation and peace process. The party is expected to show flexibility to the peace process as it tries to garner support for its candidate Party Vice Chairman Baburam Bhattarai.
