In Nepal, United Democratic Madhesi Front has agreed to participate in local polls. The decision was taken after government accepted their demands and agreed to revise constitution amendment bill. <br/><br/>After a series of hectic talks held at Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal's residence at Kathmandu the ruling parties and Sanghiya Gathbandan, an alliance of Madhesi and Janjati parties, finally reached on an agreement tonight. <br/><br/>The Government has accepted Gatbandhan's demands of re-demarcation of provincial boundaries, more representation, language and citizenship. <br/><br/>Government has also agreed to take ahead the revised constitution amendment bill through fast track. Both sides also agreed to have local elections in two phases.<br/><br/>The first phase polls will be held as per schedule on May 14. The date of second phase elections to be decided in consultation with the election commission. After the agreement Sanghiya Gatbandhan has postponed its agitation.
