Prime Minister of Nepal Baburam Bhattarai has strongly advocated economic co -operation between Nepal and India and particularly with bordering states including Bihar for all round development. After inaugurating the three day “Global Summit on Changing Bihar” at Patna today Bhattarai said there are lots of complementaries between two countries. Huge hydro-power potentials of Nepal can be harnessed for mutual benefit.There is tremendous scope for joint -venture investments on both the sides. Baburam Bhattarai said Nepal has social, cultural and historical ties with Bihar that often transcend political boundaries.He said Nepal and Bihar are not just the close neighbours. The nature has forced them to work together in harmony. The Nepal Prime Minister said Bihar and Nepal can make use of the water potentials only through positive co -operation and mitigate miseries caused by floods.Baburam Bhattarai said Nepal have been going through an unprecedented political transformation. Nepal is trying to develop a new model of participatory democracy which ensures real participation of oppressed class, nationality, religion, women and dalits in every religion.Bihar Chief minister Nitiish Kumar requested Nepal to join hands with his to further development in bordering areas of Himalyan region. Over 1000 delegates from across 24 countries, are participating this summit.
