In Nepal, 22 smaller parties in the Constituent Assembly today reiterated their call for forming a national consensus government describing it as the need of the hour. <br/><br/>The meeting held in Kathmandu urged the three major parties-Unified CPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress and CPN(UML) to rise above their vested party interest and think of larger national agenda to conclude the peace process and complete the drafting of the constitution. <br/><br/>The smaller parties urged the big three parties to find consensus in the national interest as the country is passing through a critical political and economic crisis.<br/><br/>AIR Kathmandu Correspondent reports that the five-day extended dateline for forming a national consensus government by the parties following the resignation of Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal on June 30 comes to an end on Monday.
