Nepal Supreme Court has stayed execution of government's decision to increase number of local bodies in Tarai region. A division bench of Justice Ishwarprasad Khatiwada and Justice Sapana Malla Pradhan today issued interim order on a writ petition filed against government decision.<br/><br/>Nepal government had decided on Monday to increase 22 local bodies in Tarai region. Government had also decided to upgrade Biratnagar and Birgunj sub-metropolitan cities to metropolitan cities and 24 rural local bodies as municipalities.
