In Nepal, the ruling parties have today advised the government to convene a regular session of parliament at the earliest after major parties arrived at a consensus on the formation of the new government. The coalition partners made the suggestion at a meeting convened by the Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal at his residence in Kathmandu. President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav prorogued the special session of parliament on Thursday to pave the way for convening a regular session of parliament to discuss the formation of the new government. This follows an agreement reached among the leaders of three major parties- Unified CPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) to summon a regular session within a week giving top priority to government formation.
