In Nepal, Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal (RJPN) has announced fresh agitation programme to disrupt second phase of local elections scheduled on June 28. The decision to intensify protest was taken in a party meeting held at Kathmandu this evening. <br/><br/>Addressing a press conference after the meeting coordinator of President Council of RJPN, Mahanta Thakur said that party is compelled to go for fresh agitation as government has failed to address its demands. <br/><br/>The party has announced series of agitation including 4 day general strike in Tarai Madhesh region from June 13. Earlier in the day a meeting between ruling parties and RJPN held at Prime Minister's office remained inconclusive. <br/><br/>RJPN, which was formed in April this year with the merger of six Madhesi parties, is demanding constitution amendment, withdrawal of false cases against its cadres and increase in number of local units in Madhes region before local polls.
