In Nepal, Rajendra Mahato has been elected coordinator of the Presidium of Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RJPN). Mr Mahato is one of the senior leaders of RJPN. <br />''<br />''<br />''The decision was taken by majority vote during the meeting of six member party presidium held in Kathmandu yesterday. The presidium also decided to rotate the coordinator every two months.<br />'' <br />''RJPN was formed in April last year with the merger of six Madhesi parties and since then senior most leader, Mahantha Thakur was leading the party presidium.<br />'' <br />''RJPN is the third largest party in Parliament. It had contested last year's historic provincial and parliamentary elections and won 17 seats in 275 member House of Representatives, the lower house of Parliament.<br />'' <br />''The party had also formed the government in Province 2 with its coalition partner Sanghiya Samajwadi Forum Nepal.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Madhesi parties had been demanding constitution amendment on various issues including more representation, citizenship and language.</span><br />
