Nepal’s President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav will be conferring the first Gautam Buddha International Peace Award to the Mayors of the twin Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Tadatoshi Akiba and Tomishisa Taue are being jointly conferred the award by the government of Nepal in recognition of their significant contribution to peace and non- violence. The award is being given during the occasion of Buddha Jayanti tomorrow carries a citation , gold medal and a purse of 50,000 dollars.
