Nepal President arrives on a ten-day visit to India

The Nepalese President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav has arrived on a ten-day visit to India. On the first leg of his visit, he reached Kolkata this evening and will visit Shanti Niketan during his stay there. Before arriving New Delhi on 31st of this month, Dr. Baran will visit Tirupati.On the second leg of his visit, the Nepalese President will meet the President Mrs. Pratibha Devisingh Patil and hold discussions with the Vice President and other senior Ministers and the leaders of the opposition in the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha. He will have talks with the Prime Minister Dr, Manmohan Singh on a host of issues with the focus on people-to-people contacts and enhancing the partnership. He will also visit Chandigarh before leaving back home to attend the convocation ceremony of PGI Chandigarh. AIR correspondent adds that the two countries share a unique relationship and cooperation and the visit will help further strengthen the friendly ties between the two countries.
