In Nepal, police arrested a Thai national Anuvat Sahib along with his local agent in possession of a huge cacth of counterfeit Indian currency. A special police squad deployed by the Nepal Police Headquarters raided a Kathmandu Hotel and apprehended Sahib and a Nepali national Ishwor Prasad Shah Teli with fake Indian currency notes worth 4,579,000 rupees in the denomination of 1,000 rupees and 500 rupees from their possession.Police said in course of interrogation, Sahib told the police that he had visited Nepal at least four times carrying the consignment of fake Indian currency notes.
