Nepal's Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal today urged all the political parties to strive to form a new government at the earliest. <br/><br/>Speaking at the budget session of the parliament in Kathmandu today, the outgoing Prime Minister expressed serious concern over the delay in forging national consensus, stating that he had resigned to end the ongoing political deadlock and facilitate in forming a national unity government to conclude the peace process and write the new constitution.<br/><br/>Criticising the opposition Unified CPN(Maoist) Mr. Madhav Nepal alleged that the party has made no attempt to carry out the pending tasks related to the peace process as per its commitment and asked the Maoists to transform itself into a civilian party.<br/><br/>Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal resigned from his post on June 30 to pave way for forming a national consensus government as per May 28 agreement among the three major parties.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Constituent Assembly Subhash Neamwang has said he will begin the process forming a new government by majority vote in parliament and fix a date for election of the new Prime Minister after the pariament secretariate receives a formal letter from the President in this regards. Talking to newsmen today, Neamwang said he had suggested the politcal parties to try to form a government based on consensus through a majority process.
