Nepal’s Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal is leaving Kathmandu later today for Istanbul, Turkey to participate in the fourth UN Conference on Least Developed Countries to be held from May 8-13. He is leading a 30 member delegation which includes Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Upendra Yadav and Minister for Education, Ganga Lal Tuladhar.Nepal is the current chair of the Global Coordination Bureau of the Least Development Countries. A foreign Ministry release in Kathmandu said the conference of forty-eight countries will assess the results of the 10-year action plan adopted at the group's third conference held in Brussels, Belgium, in 2001. It will also adopt new measures and strategies for the sustainable development of Least Developed countries in the next decade.
