The Prime Minister of Nepal Babu Ram Bhattarai is arriving in New Delhi this afternoon on a four day visit to India. During his stay in the National Capital, he will hold delegation level talks with the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on a host of issues.
He will call on the President and the Vice President and exchange views on issues of mutual interest with Finance, Home and Defence Ministers besides the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha.
Strengthening the bilateral cooperation in security and defence areas apart from focusing on greater partnership to realize full potential of bilateral trade will be at the centre of the deliberations.
Ahead of his visit to India, Mr. Bhattarai told AIR that Nepal will seek to strengthen, power transmission lines to meet power shortage in the Himalayan nation. He made it clear that various ongoing Indian power projects in Nepal will continue and the visit will further strengthen the partnership between the two countries.
AIR correspondent adds that the ongoing peace process is also expected to figure prominently in his talks with the Indian leaders.
