Prime Minister of Nepal Shri Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that local elections and constitution amendment process will go simultaneously. In his address to the nation today, he said, that government did not have any option but to announce local polls as it was under the constitutional obligation to hold local, provincial and federal polls by January of 2018. <br/><br/>In his televised address, Nepalese Prime Minister also said that government was compelled to announce the date for civic polls after the main opposition party did not allow the House to discuss the constitution amendment bill. The Government had recently announced to hold local bodies elections on 14th of May.
