In a dramatic development in Nepal, Maoist Chairman Prachanda has announced withdrawal of his candidature and to support CPN(UML) candidate Jhalanath Khanal in the Prime Ministerial election. Addressing the parliament in Kathmandu Wednesday afternoon, Prachanda said his withdrawal will pave way for forming a new government and provide a sigh of relief to the people who are waiting for a new government. AIR Kathmandu correspondent reports that the CPN(UML) Chairman Jhalanath Khanal whose party has 109 members in parliament and the Maoist who has 237 members in parliament is almost certain to get elected as the new Prime Minister. Besides, Mr. Kahanal, there are two other candidates -Nepali Congress parliamentary party leader Ram Chandra Poudel and the Madhesh Janadhikar Forum (Loktantrik) Chairman Bijay Gachchadar.
