The meeting scheduled at 11 AM could not take place as main opposition CPN (UML) obstructed the house proceedings. <br/><br/>Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba is the only candidate for premiership. Out going Prime Minister and Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre) Chief Pushpa Kamal Dahal proposed his name. <br/><br/>Nepali Congress senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel and Nepal Loktantrik Forum President Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar supported his nomination. Deuba is likely to be elected prime minister as ruling coalition is having majority in the house. <br/><br/>Pushpa Kamal Dahal had resigned from prime minister's post on May 24 as per the power sharing understanding with the coalition partner Nepali Congress. President Bidya Devi Bhandari had accepted his resignation and asked PM Dahal to continue till formation of the new government.
