In Nepal counting of votes for 110 seats of House of Representative and 220 of state assemblies under proportional representation is underway. More than 60 percent votes have been counted so far. <br/><br/>CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Center) left alliance is leading. After worst-ever debacle in direct election, Nepali Congress is giving though fight to the left alliance. <br/><br/>The party remains on second place after CPN (UML). <br/><br/>The other partner of left alliance CPN (Maoist Centre) is on the third place. <br/><br/>The two major parties of Madhes, Sanghiya Samjawadi Forum Nepal and Rashtriya Janata Party Nepal are also performing well. They are on fourth and fifth position. <br/><br/>Meanwhile, all results of 165 seats of parliament and 330 of provincial assemblies under direct election have been declared. Left alliance has won 116 and 241 seats. <br/><br/>Nepali Congress has begged 23 and 41 seats. Rashtriya Janata Party Nepal has got 11 and 16. Sanghiya Samjawadi Forum Nepal has begged 10 and 24 seats. Others have won 5 and 8 seats.

AIR Kathmandu correspondent reports that the left alliance is ahead with CPN (UML) leading the tally in proportional representation. <br/><br/>However, after a huge loss in direct election, Nepali Congress was able to make some gain. <br/><br/>It is moving neck to neck with CPN (UML). The left alliance partner CPN (Maoist Center) is on the third place. <br/><br/>Though the overall seat position of 275 member lower house of the parliament and state assemblies in seven provinces will be clear after the completion of counting of popular votes. But left alliance is all set to form an absolute majority government at the centre and six provinces.
