In Nepal, the meeting between the UCPN ( Maoist) and the Nepali Congress to discuss the integration and the rehabilitation of Maoist combatants remained inconclusive. Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai had convened the meeting in Kathmandu today to urge the opposition to agree on the number of combatants to be integrated in the army so as to start the regrouping as soon as possible. The Nepali Congress has said that that the process cannot start unless a feasible package is proposed and the Maoists are committed to take the peace process ahead.Mr. Bhattarai said that he wants the integration process to start before he leaves for New York to participate in the UN General Assembly on the 19th of this month.
