In Nepal , major political parties have come closer to reaching an agreement to end the current parliament deadlock. A meeting of the senior leaders of the three major parties – Nepali Congress, CPN (UML) and the Unified CPN (Maoist) held in Kathmandu today decided to introduce a common resolution in the parliament to address the demands of the opposition Maoists. Talking to newsmen, Nepali Congress Vice President Ram Chandra Poudyal said the meeting has entrusted Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) to prepare a draft of the common resolution which will be discussed with the Maoist leaders at a tripartite meeting of the major parties scheduled to be held tomorrow afternoon.Senior Maoist leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha said his party will not accept the common resolution if it fails to address their demand for civilian supremacy.<br/>
