In Nepal, Madhesi parties have decided to continue their protest against new constitution amendment bill and local polls. The Sanghiya Gathabandhan, an alliance of Madhesi and Janjati parties, in a press conference at Kathmandu today announced fresh protest programmes beginning from April 18. <br/><br/>The alliance will hold torch rallies, public meetings, demonstrations, and strikes in various parts of Nepal till May 14. Talking to AIR , President of Sanghiya Samajwadi Forum Nepal, Upendra Yadav said that protest movement will be peaceful. <br/><br/>Madhesi leaders had rejected new constitution amendment bill presented by the government on last Tuesday and deiced to boycott local elections scheduled on May 14. <br/><br/>They termed new bill insufficient to fulfil their demands. Madhesi parties are demanding constitution amendment on various issues including re-demarcation of provincial boundaries, more representation, citizenship and language before local elections.
