Nepal: International Conference on Ramayan Circuit, Mithila-Awadh Relations concludes at Janakpur

Eminent experts and accamidicians of India and Nepal have stressed upon further strengthening age old cultural ties between both the countries and development of religious cites of Ayodhya and Janakpur. <br/><br/>At the concluding session of two day "International Conference on "Ramayan Circuit and Mithila-Awadh Relations" at Janakpur today 11 resolutions were adopted including launch of bus and train service between Janakpur and Ayodhya, introduction of Sita-Ram Chair at various universities of India and Nepal and Exchange of Mithila and Awadh festivals. <br/><br/>The conference also decided to promote religious tourism in Janakpur, preparation of list of manuscripts, literature and other publications on Sita and Ram and exchange of good practices between Ayodhya and Janakpur cities. The participants also decided to request Governments of India and Nepal to renew agreement signed during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Nepal visit in November 2014 to develop Ayodhya and Janakpur as twin cities. The agreement is expiring this month. It was decided that next conference will be held in Ayodhya. <br/><br/>During the two day conference eminent experts and accamidicians held threadbare delbrations on all aspects of social, cultural and religious ties between Mithila and Awadh besides development of connectivity between Janakpur and Ayodhya.
