In Nepal, the impeachment motion filed against Chief Justice Sushila Karki has been withdrawn. The proposer of the motion, Nepali Congress member Min Bahadur Bishwakarma and supporter Tek Bahadur Basnet of CPN-Maoist Centre withdrew motion by submitting a written request to Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar today. <br/><br/>They have expressed hope that withdrawal of impeachment motion will bring harmony, constructive cooperation and understanding among the constitutional bodies.<br/>Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Centre) MPs had registered an impeachment motion 0n April 30 against Chief Justice Karki alleging that she was interfering in the jurisdiction of executive and failed to issue verdicts without prejudice. <br/><br/>However, on May 5 the Supreme Court of Nepal had stayed the impeachment motion and reinstated Justice Karki.
